VIRGIN SWAMPS VINDURO 2018
RIVERHEAD FOREST DECEMBER 2  2018
In association with the Waitemata MCC

Round three of the Vinduro NZ Series is back to Riverhead Forest on the outskirts of Auckland. The VSE was one of NZ's earliest enduros and commemorates those early 1970s events using some of the very same tracks that the Waitemata MCC has faithfully maintained all these years.
The 2018 edition of the VSE will again be run in conjunction the club's regular pre-Christmas trail ride, thus requiring an early 9.00am start.
Unlike the name suggest there are no swamps to negotiate in the 60 km course and as usual a lot of post-winter work has gone into clearing tracks to ensure a vintage (bike and rider) friendly event.
Two course options are catered for. The Gold course is the longer and more challenging at about 60km. The 50km Silver course has diversions around the trickier obstacles.
Six classes of bikes are catered for from the sexy sixties to the naughty 90s, details of these are on the vinduronz website. No lights are required, though all machines must have effective mufflers and fuel systems. Those with modern post 1996 bikes can enter the trail ride which starts at 10.30 am.
